Coffee Table

I designed and made this coffee table as a nature inspired design project. Inspired by my love of birds and origami, I drew a series of birds as well as feathers onto nine squares of wood off-cuts, each painted in a different colour, and used them as the focal point of the 1m x 1m industrial-style coffee table. The squares of wood are enclosed by two sheets of glass, fitted into a steel frame made from industrial shelving rails.The grid effect and bright colours were inspired by the POP Art era <3
